THE CEREMONY

VOWS

l a u r a ' s . v o w s . t o . a a r o n

We're like a tangle of thread - overlapping and intertwined, with
many shared passions and ideals. It's scary and wonderful all at
once, how much a part of each other we've become. You comple-
ment me on so many levels, I can only hope I do the same for you.

You are the most beautiful person I know or ever hope to know -
in every way. Your generosity and kindness knows no bounds.
You've taught me so much (not least of which is how to burp
loudly).

My vow to you is simple: to try my best to make you as happy as
you make me; to strive every day to follow the example you lead to
be the best person I can; to love you (that's the easy part) and to be
there for you always.

I also promise to humor you in all of your fits of hypochondria, and
to laugh at your jokes, no matter how many times I've heard them
before.

We have been together ten years to the day. And during that time,
from our first date to this very morning, when I wake up and you
are with me, I smile with a joyfulness that brings tears to my eyes
(at least when you're not stealing the blankets).

With our marriage, I pledge to holdyou, to console you, to travel
with you, to be supportive, to be loving, to feed our cat, to listen
and to hear, to be honest, to be understanding, and to make you
laugh.

And I will always, no matter what, let you wear my jacket when
you're cold, hold your wallet and feminine items when you have
no pockets, offer you Kleenex when you need them, remember
your birthday (two days ago, by the way), and convince you how
beautiful you really are when you don't see it.

With fascination and delight I look forward to the travels we have
ahead of us. Every morning from this point on, my smile will be a
little broader knowing the joyfulness I feel when we're together
will last a lifetime.
