Corporate Identity Site
This is the most common, basic use of the Internet, used to allow people to learn more about your company than possible in any other medium with the exception of a direct mailing. Unlike a mailer, however, the web site is sought out by the visitor, so you have interested parties, without the waste associated with mailings.

Cost efficiencies are gained by the information being easily added to or updated, and that the site is accessed only by interested parties. Additionallly, the visitor can read as little or as much as they want, on the topics they are interested in. In that sense, the visitor can customize the ³pamphlet² they are exposed to.

Included in a corporate site is basic information about the company and core business, as well as job openings, new lines of business, etc. It is often referred to as a business card online, although we believe that this understates the usefulness of the site.

Marketing Site
A marketing site incorporates the Corporate Identity site with product information. Visitors may access all or part of existing catalogs, information on the latest technological breakthroughs in a specific industry, highlighted items (possibly in conjunnction with the manufacturer) or profiles of satisfied clients. In addition, a site can be linked to an existing database to allow visitors to search a great deal of related information.

A marketing site should be designed to inform and motivate the visitor to contact your company. These sites should contain a variety of different ways for the visitor to contact the company for more information, an appointment or to place an order.

Electronic Commerce Site
This is the cutting edge of web site design. Order can be placed and payed for via a secured server. For companies that are truly enthusiastic about the Internet, and have a product that can easily transfer to online sales, this is your site.
